Day 2 of the I Am Writing Festival contains another literary agent panel with Maddy Belton from Madeleine Milburn Literary, TV and Film Agency, Molly Jamieson from United Agents and Jo Williamson from Antony Harwood. Come and find out how approachable agents are as you put to them your burning questions about what you need to do in order for your submission to stand out from the crowd.
Molly Jamieson has been working at United Agents LLP for just over four years, working across adult and children’s books, and before that she worked at Curtis Brown. She has recently started building her own client list which already includes million-copy selling authors and bestsellers.
Agent one-to-one appointments are available with Molly. Once you have booked your festival ticket you will receive link and details about Molly’s available timeslots. Please note #Agent121 sessions are charged extra at £60 each.
Molly has a particular interest in sci-fi and fantasy, both for children’s books and on the adult side, but more specifically anything on the more commercial end of things – big stories, high stakes, twists and turns. In children’s books she will happily take a look at any age group from picture books right up to YA and any genre (she loves anything whimsical, funny, adventurous), and on the adult side she is keen to see historical, reading group, and commercial fiction. She is not the right agent for literary fiction, or military/espionage thrillers
